Hey Disc Golf Manitoba members, it's that time of year again - our Board is hosting our AGM and we would love to see you there!
The AGM will be held Wednesday August 12, 2026 from 8-10 pm at Kilter Brewing located at 450 Rue Deschambault in Winnipeg. Lots of great parking available.
There will be an in person or online option for attendance, DGM will provide some snacks at the in person venue, and you are welcome to BYOB (buy your own beer!). There will be a door prize (with the option to gain up to 2 extra entries if you donate gently used discs from your collection- 1 disc = 1 entry, 3 discs = 2 entries).
We will review our Financials and Annual report and accept nominations for individuals interested in joining the board.
Please RSVP using this link: AGM RSVP
Mike Evans is leaving his position as Chair of DGM. We thank him for his time and dedication to growing DGM and the sport of Disc Golf in Manitoba.
We are looking to invite others to join our Disc Golf Manitoba Board! Are you passionate about developing the Disc Golf Manitoba community? The board meets once per month (on a weeknight) to discuss our goals and develop action plans to support the sport and its players in Manitoba. Most roles involve about 5-10 hours of volunteering per month (including the monthly meeting). Board positions are typically a two-year term.
We are seeking nominees for the following:
Chair or someone interested in Co-Chair: This role involves supporting each committee to review and assign action plans, leading the monthly meetings, and working on governance related tasks such as supporting the development of policies and procedures.
Treasurer: This role involves monitoring ongoing DGM expenses throughout the year, payouts for DGM hosted events, etc.
IT/Web design: Do you love keeping website content up to date and finding creative ways to connect with the community using digital tools? This is the committee for you!
Facilities committee member: This role involves communication with the municipality around course maintenance, updates, and upgrades, as well as planning and implementation of course improvements.
Members at large who may have a knack for getting sponsorships, running events (TD), or want to spend time supporting Disc Golf in Manitoba in other ways.
If you’re interested, please email DGM at jenna.sparling@dgmanitoba.ca with your self-nomination. Elections will take place during the AGM and roles will be assigned following the first monthly meeting where the priority will be onboarding.
We hope to see you there!
