Introduction: In 2016 there will be two separate leagues. Each league will consist of 10 weeks. Spring League May 2nd - July 4th Summer League July 11th - Sept 12th
Everyone is welcome to play Monday nights! If you want to come out to league and not participate in the standings or awards we would still love to see you there. Only players who participate in standings and awards are required to pay league fees.
Cost: League Fee: $25 Spring $25 Summer Players who enter both spring and summer leagues will receive $10 off the summer league. Includes $10 Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports (MODS) membership - ultimate members receive $10 off league fee
Where your league fees are going: - $10 MODS yearly membership - $7 PDGA sanctioning and website dues. - $8 league awards
Optional Weekly Fees: $1 progressive Ace Pot - Only eligible if you are a league member, and have paid your $1 for that week, before the beginning of the round - Each ace pot will max out at $100, and a new one will be started - Each ace pot is paid out after a full 18 hole round - If more than 1 ace is recorded during the same round the payout will be divided equally (rounded to the closest dollar) between all winners. Any leftover $ gets carried over to next ace pot. - If any ace pot money is left over at the end of the season, half will go to the MODS DG general fund, and half will be rolled over to the following year. For example, if we have $230 in ace pots at the end of the regular season: $115 goes to general fund, and $115 is carried over to next year, we will have a $100 pot and a partial $15 pot to start with on the first night next year. $1 Closest To Pin (CTP) - CTP is the first shot from tee that lands closest to the basket without any modifications - Any shots that incur a penalty become invalid for CTP - Only eligible if you have paid your $1 for that week, before the beginning of the round, open to all, including visitors . - CTP is paid out at the end of each round, to a maximum of $10. Any remaining CTP contributions will be put into the MODS disc golf general fund.

League Format: Scorecards: • •Scorecards are marked by each person in your group for an equal amount of holes • •At the end of the round, count the scores on your card, total it and mark down the total score, not the over/under. • •It is your responsibility to hand in your scorecard at the end of each round • •Any scorecards that are not immediately handed in at the end of each round (lost or late), may be disqualified, and as a result all players would be disqualified Divisions Rec/Beginner Rec Womens Intermediate Advanced League Points/Scoring: Players will receive one point for attending league each week. They will also receive one point for every player they tie or beat each week. The players with the most points at the end of each league will be the winners. Essentially both attendance and performance will be important. End of Season Awards: Most improved –Based on PDGA rating Most weeks attended – The person(s) with the highest weeks attendance will be awarded the prize. If more than 1 winner, the prize will be split equally. Top 2 players in each division – Based on Points Most lost discs during League play.
Course Rules: • All tee-offs must be taken from the designated tee-off location. • There is a one stroke penalty if your disc comes to rest as follows: - Completely beyond the general border the park. - Completely inside the fenced pool area (Happyland). - Completely inside the border of the play structure area by holes 3, 4, & 5 (Happyland). - Completely in a non-casual body of water (lake, pond, creek). - On the opposite side of the creek from the tee, only on holes where tee and basket are on the same side. (Happyland). - Completely surrounded by smooth concrete (skateboard area) holes 15 & 6 Happyland - Additional rules or omissions at Directors discretion
- NOTE: There will be NO 2 metre Out-of-Bounds rule. If your disc comes to rest in a tree, take your next shot directly under where the disc came to lay in the tree. You are NOT assessed a penalty stroke. - If there is any issue of whether your throw should incur a penalty, your group must decide.
SAFETY REMEMBER - Park users always have the right of way! Do NOT throw if there is any chance of an errant disc hitting someone. Wait until it is clear, or send out a spotter. Please pick up any trash you may come across and deposit into the garbage bins.
